Howdy! I'm Ren (they/he). I'm an artist from Winnipeg, MB, currently based in the GTA. I started learning how to weave chainmaille in late 2021 because I was freshly unemployed, found it super interesting, and wasn't allowed to be emo at 13...so I'm working through that now. After some practice and research I started powerfantasy in June 2022 as an armoury for the daint of heart. 

So far everything I've woven is made of stainless steel: it's low-maintenance, polishes to a lovely shine, hefty, and sooooo sturdy. Each piece starts as a heap of loose rings that are woven together one-at-a-time with plenty of neurotic love. I'm really concerned about making pieces that last, so for hardware such as charms and closures, I try my best to use stainless steel where I can.
